"A Sacrament is a visible sign of an invisible reality."
Hi and welcome to the Sacraments of Confirmation and First Holy Communion! Congratulations! This is an incredibly important and special time in your child’s life. Your child will learn to know Jesus as their Savior, truly and bodily present in the Eucharist, as well as receive the Grace of the Holy Spirit, giving them a greater courage and guidance in facing the challenges of living a Christian life.
If your child has already received the Sacrament of First Communion and is only receiving Confirmation, please fill out this form and select "Yes" under the "Confirmation Only?" portion.
Please read the "Description" section to the right of the screen carefully and complete the form below for each child who will be receiving these sacraments.
Thank you and may Christ's peace be ever with you!
Some Regular Ol' Basic Info...
Some Basic Catholic Info, Please.
If your child was baptized in a parish other than Christ The King Parish in Concord, NH, we will need a copy of their baptismal certificate for our records. If you have the certificate, you can simply snap a photo of it and email it to me at jen@christthekingnh.org or to Kathy Planchet at kathy@christthekingnh.org. If you do not have their baptismal certificate in your posession, please contact the parish in which your child was baptized and request a copy of the certificate, or let me know and I will contact the parish directly. Once you receive the certificate, please take a photo and email it to me or Kathy. Thank you!
"We go to Mass not simply because it's an obligation. Rather, we attend Mass because it's our loving response to the God who has loved us first. It is an active choice of the will to give of our time, treasure and talent - knowing full well it will never amount to the sacrifice endured by our Savior."
In the "Description" section to the right, it is stated that Sunday (or Saturday Vigil) Mass attendance is expected. This is an expectation put forth not only by Father Rich and myself, but, much more importantly, by God Himself, as it is written in the Commandments. As Catholic parents you are now preparing your child/ren to receive the holy sacraments and as such, participating in Sunday (or Saturday Vigil) Mass on a weekly basis is a must.
If your child has already received the Sacrament of First Communion and only needs to be Confirmed, please check this box below.
Photographs and videos are sometimes taken during Sacrament Preparation meetings. They may be displayed publicly; i.e.: parish website, bulletin, news media, brochure, bulletin boards, etc. and used to keep the community aware and informed of parish events and activities.
